Guangzhuo verkozen boven Sjanghai voor DTM-race

De terugkeer van de DTM in China zal plaats vinden in Guangzhuo. Dat heeft de organisatie van de toerwagenserie bekend gemaakt. Een race op een stratencircuit in de op twee na grootste stad in China kreeg de voorkeur boven een evenement in Sjanghai.

ITR-baas Hans Werner Aufrecht: "Het doet me deugd dat we samen met onze Chinese partners een geschikte locatie hebben gevonden voor een DTM-race op een spectaculair stratencircuit. Tot nu toe zijn we twee keer eerder naar China afgereisd en we hebben een verplichting in te lossen. De vorige twee evenementen waren van onze kant niet van topniveau en het is hoog tijd om China een mooie race te bezorgen. Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat we de Chinese fans iets moois zullen voorschotelen."
