Müller vervangt Albuquerque in DTM line-up Audi

Nico Müller debuteert komend seizoen in de DTM. De 21-jarige Zwitser vervangt Filipe Albuquerque bij Audi. Het Duitse merk schuift Albuquerque als opvolger van Allan McNish door naar het World Endurance Championship en de 24 uur van Le Mans.

Müller was vorig jaar nog actief in de World Series by Renault. Hij overtuigde de bazen van Audi tijdens de tests, zo legt motorsportbaas Wolfgang Ulrich uit. "We houden de ontwikkeling van Nico al een tijdje nauwlettend in de gaten. Hij heeft honderden kilometers voor ons getest en liet daarbij een overweldigende indruk achter. Ik heb er alle vertrouwen in dat hij snel gewend raakt aan zijn nieuwe omgeving en sterk in de voetsporen van Filipe treedt."
