Ralf Schumacher test weer voor Mercedes

Een overstap naar de DTM komt voor Ralf Schumacher steeds dichterbij. De Duitser test vandaag, morgen en overmorgen op het circuit van Estoril wederom in een auto van Mercedes. Zowel coureur als autofabrikant zien een samenwerking wel zitten, een contract lijkt dus een kwestie van tijd.

Schumacher test in Portugal met een oude auto. Ondertussen is Mercedes in Paul Ricard druk bezig met de nieuwe auto voor 2008. De Duitse autofabrikant rijdt daar met Jamie Green en Paul di Resta. Di Resta geldt als grootste kanshebber op het vrijgekomen stoeltje van Mika Hakkinen bij het fabrieksteam van Mercedes.

Concurrent Audi is ook aanwezig in Paul Ricard en is met Mattias Ekstrom en Tom Kristensen achter het stuur bezig met de nieuwe A4. Het team TME test met een auto van twee jaar oud en heeft Katherine Legge uitgenodigd. Legge moet de rol van Vanina Ickx over nemen.
