Ralf Schumacher tekent bij Mercedes

Ralf Schumacher rijdt dit jaar in de DTM voor het Trilux AMG Mercedes-team. Dat maakte de Duitse autofabrikant vandaag bekend. Schumacher reed van 1997 tot en met 2007 180 Grands Prix in de Formule 1 voor Jordan, Williams en Toyota. Het broertje van zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Michael Schumacher debuteert op 13 april in de DTM.

Ralf Schumacher testte dit jaar al vier dagen voor Mercedes op het circuit van Estoril. In totaal reed de Duitser bij die tests 490 ronden, ruim 2.000 kilometer, wat gelijk staat aan ongeveer twaalf DTM-races.
