Alexandre Premat uit uitslag geschrapt

Stewards op de Lausitzring hebben Alexandre Premat geschrapt uit de uitslag van de DTM-race vanmiddag. De Fransman raakt zijn achtste plaats en bijbehorende punt kwijt.

Een monteur van zijn team heeft bij een van zijn pitstops twee bandensets door elkaar gehaald en zodoende de verkeerde banden gemonteerd. Ondanks het feit dat Premat geen voordeel heeft gehad van deze situatie, waren de stewards toch van mening dat hij uit de uitslag geschrapt moest worden.

Premat: "Natuurlijk is het teleurstellend, maar het is gewoon een fout. Ik denk dat als ik hoger was geëindigd ik het erger gevonden zou hebben. Ik vind nog steeds dat we een goede prestatie hebben neergezet vanmiddag."

Door de diskwalificatie van Premat schuift Oliver Jarvis door naar de achtste plaats en het laatste punt.
