Jamie Green heeft vanmiddag de DTM-race op de Norisring op zijn naam geschreven. De uitslag werd na de race aangepast, toen bekend werd dat Gary Paffett werd gediskwalificeerd.

Jamie Green passeert polesitter Bruno Spengler bij de start en dat is het startsein voor een lang duel. Het gat tussen de twee wordt nooit groter dan drie seconden. Green kent nog wel een hachelijk moment bij zijn tweede pitstop. Hij neemt de tankinstallatie mee de baan op, die er uiteindelijk afvliegt tijdens het remmen voor de eerste bocht. Spengler, Scheider en Ekstrom komen allemaal dichterbij Green in de slotfase. Ektrom verremt zich in de laatste bocht voor de finish en laat zo de derde plek aan kampioenschapsleider Scheider.

Meest opvallende coureur in de punten is Gary Paffett. De voormalig kampioen stormt in zijn oude Mercedes naar de vijfde plek, maar na de race wordt duidelijk dat alle moeite voor niets is geweest. De Mercedes blijkt lichter dan de vereiste 1045 kg en wordt gediskwalificeerd. De Brit raakt zijn vijfde plaats en de bijbehorende vier punten kwijt.

Ralf Schumacher lijkt op weg naar zijn persoonlijk beste resultaat in de DTM, een negende plek. Vier ronden voor het einde spint hij van de baan in de eerste bocht na een mogelijk remprobleem. Matthias Lauda erft de negende plek, voor Susie Stoddart. Christijan Albers is dan al van het strijdtoneel verdwenen.

Timo Scheider leidt nog steeds het kampioenschap voor Audi, de voorsprong is echter geslonken tot 1 puntje.

zo zie je dat er meer rijders zijn met oudere wagens Alberts en die rijden niet achteraan .Bij de eerste races reed Alberts achteraan met Ralf (oke hij spint)maar de laatste races blijft alleen Alberts haken als bijna rode lantaarn.Hij gaat het nu ook al afleggen van de dames .Natuurlijk zit hij in een waardeloos team maar dan nog neem eens wat risico.probeer wat
