Christijan Albers wil comebackseizoen goed afsluiten

De Hockenheimring is komend weekend het toneel voor de laatste race van het DTM-seizoen 2008. Het was het jaar van de comeback van Christijan Albers in de toerwagenklasse. Voor zijn Formule 1-jaren maakte hij furore bij Mercedes, dit jaar moest hij weer van onder af aan beginnen met een paar jaar oude Audi.

De bazen van het Duitse automerk tonen zich tevreden met hem en beloonde Albers al met een race in de American Le Mans Series. De Nederlander scoorde dit seizoen echter nog geen punten. Albers wil de jaargang zo goed mogelijk afsluiten. Het wordt een bijzonder interessant weekend in Hockenheim. Het kampioenschap is nog helemaal open en Paul di Resta en Timo Scheider maken het erg spannend. Ik kijk uit naar de seizoensfinale en hopelijk kunnen we het seizoen op een mooie manier afsluiten. We mogen terugkijken op een mooi seizoen, waarin we heel behoorlijk gepresteerd hebben. Ik zal er alles aan doen om het jaar een positief slot te geven.
