Officieel: David Coulthard met Mercedes naar DTM

David Coulthard keert komend seizoen terug als officieel racecoureur. De 39-jarige Schot zal voor Mercedes in de DTM gaan rijden en krijgt de beschikking over een auto uit 2008.

"Ik was gedurende 2009 niet actief op zoek naar een contract voor dit jaar, maar toen ik bij de seizoensfinale van de DTM aanwezig was kreeg ik toch weer de kriebels", vertelde Coulthard. "Dat leidde tot een test met Mercedes en dat heetf me doen besluiten dat ik mijn werk voor de BBC kan combineren met een carriére in de DTM."

Coulthard zal voor Mucke Motorsport in een 2008-Mercedes gaan rijden. Het seizoen van de DTM start pas op 25 april in Hockenheim.
