Zandvoort ook in 2016 op DTM-kalender

De DTM-organisatie heeft de kalender voor volgend seizoen bekend gemaakt. Op het schema prijken negen rondes van ieder twee races, dus in totaal achttien wedstrijden. Zandvoort is opnieuw van de partij, in het weekend van 15 tot en met 17 juli zet het DTM-circus de tenten op in de Noord-Hollandse duinen. Oschersleben is afgevallen, daarvoor in de plaats komt de Hungaroring.

Hans-Werner Aufrecht van DTM-moederbedrijf ITR: "We zijn erin geslaagd om een goed uitgebalanceerd schema op te stellen met een goede verdeling van de raceweekenden, waarmee we de opwinding en spanning voor de toeschouwers en de fans het hele seizoen hoog weten te houden."

De DTM-kalender voor 2016:

6-8 mei - Hockenheimring I

20-22 mei - Red Bull Ring

3-5 juni - Lausitzring

24-26 juni - Norisring

15-17 juli - Zandvoort

19-21 augustus - Moscow Raceway

9-11 september - Nürburgring
