Mercedes domineert openingstraining

Dit weekend wordt alweer het vijfde DTM-weekend verreden. Plaats van handeling is Circuit Park Zandvoort. In de openingstraining domineerde Mercedes. Robert Wickens reed de snelste tijd voor Daniel Juncadella en Christian Vietoris. De snelste tijd in de eerste training was al bijna een halve seconde sneller dan vorig jaar.

Het lijkt er dan ook op dat het ronderecord uit 2014 dit jaar zal sneuvelen, al moet het dan wel droog blijven. De enige niet-Mercedes in de top vijf was Matias Ekstrom in de Audi, de Zweed kwam tot een vierde tijd. Paffet en Auer stonden namens Mercedes ook in de top 8.

De tweede vrije training begint om 13:45 uur, waarna de heren om 15:30 gaan kwalificeren voor de eerste race. De eerste race begint om 18:05 uur.
