Wolfgang Ullrich: "Kampioenschap is nog lang niet voorbij"

Audi staat er momenteel niet goed voor in het DTM-kampioenschap. Het Duitse merk onder leiding van Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich heetf op de vijfde plaats in het kampioenschap haar beste coureur staan in de vorm van Mattias Ekström. In Zandvoort hoopt Audi een deel van de achterstand goed te maken.

Audi is vaak sneller dan Mercedes in Zandvoort, maar afgelopen seizoen wist Mercedes-coureur Gary Paffett de race op zijn naam te schrijven. Dit jaar heeft Audi een overwinning in Zandvoort hard nodig, want Mattias Ekström, de best geplaatste Audi-coureur, staat al 19 punten achter op leider Bruno Spengler.

Volgens Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich van Audi is er echter nog niks verloren. "Er zijn nog altijd zes races te gaan en je kan nog altijd 60 punten verdienen. We zullen er alles aan doen wat we kunnen om zoveel mogelijk punten te scoren en terrein goed te maken in het kampioenschap."
