Timo Scheider riskeert eventuele diskwalificatie na bandenfout

De uitslag van de DTM-race op Zandvoort blijft nog even voorlopig. De organisatie onderzoekt namelijk nog een incident rondom Timo Scheider. De Duitser riskeert een mogelijke straf of zelfs diskwalificatie vanwege een bandenfout.

Scheider startte vanaf de pole position, kende een slechte start en viel ver terug. De regerend kampioen reed wel een sterke inhaalrace en kwam uiteindelijk als derde aan de finish. Echter, de kans bestaat dat Scheiderzijn podiumplaats kwijtraakt. Na afloop van de race ontdekte de raceleiding namelijk dat één van de racebanden van Scheider niet de verplichte barcode bevatte. De wedstrijdleiding wil eerst de zaak onderzoeken en binnen enkele dagen zal de definitieve uitslag bekend worden gemaakt.
