Alexandre Premat zet Audi aan kop in eerste training Adria

Alexandre Premat heeft zojuist de eerste vrije training van de DTM als snelste afgesloten. Op het Italiaanse circuit van Adria was de Audi-coureur ruim twee tienden sneller dan teamcollega Mike Rockenfeller.

In de laatste seconden van de training reed Premat zichzelf naar de koppositie. De Fransman was de enige rijder die onder de 1:11 kwam. Rockenfeller was 0.243 seconden langzamer, gevolgd door David Coulthard. De Schot was verrassend de snelste Mercedes-coureur, terwijl de titelkandidaten het lieten afweten.

Bruno Spengler, die momenteel tweede staat in het kampioenschap, was de snelste coureur van alle titelkandidaten op de tiende plaats. Gary Paffett, die met nog twee races te gaan 17 punten achterstand heeft, kwam niet verder dan de vijftiende tijd, terwijl kampioenschapsleider Paul di Resta slechts de zestiende tijd reed.
