Paul di Resta over DTM-titel: "Een droom die uitgekomen is"

Paul di Resta heeft zich vandaag tot DTM-kampioen van 2010 laten kronen. De Britse Mercedes-coureur eindigde in Shanghai als tweede, maar omdat Bruno Spengler niet verder kwam dan de dertiende plaats was dat voldoende om de titel veilig te stellen. na afloop was Di Resta nog vol ongeloof.

"Ik ben erg blij met mijn DTM-titel. Het is een droom die uitgekomen is", vertelde de testrijder van Force India. "Ik wil mijn hele team en iedereen van Mercedes-Benz bedanken voor dit geweldige seizoen. Die glimlach zal nog lange tijd op m'm gezicht staan denk ik."

"Gelukkig heb ik de terugvlucht pas op maandag. Ik had graag wat meer familieleden om me heen gehad om deze titel te vieren, maar nu heb ik een feestje met het team. Het ging vandaag niet om de overwinning in de race, maar we reden met de titel in ons achterhoofd."
