Alexandre Premat plant comeback met BMW voor 2012

Alexandre Premat heeft het hoofdstuk DTM nog niet afgesloten. De Fransman werd één race voor het einde van het seizoen dit jaar aan de kant gezet door Audi, maar voor 2012 hoopt Premat terug te keren naar de Duitse toerwagenklasse.

Premat en Audi gingen eerder dit jaar door meningsverschillen over enkele zaken uit elkaar, maar daarmee is het DTM-gedeelte voor de Fransman nog niet voorbij. BMW debuteert in 2012 in de DTM en wil, zoals het er nu naar uitziet, zes auto's inzetten. Wellicht is één daarvan voor Premat bestemt.

"Voor 2011 hoop ik in de Le Mans Series te kunnen rijden", vertelde Premat over zijn toekomstplannen. Voor 2012 is het plan om terug te keren naar de DTM. Ik ken de klasse inmiddels erg goed en vind het leuk om erin te racen. ik wil echter wel graag in een nieuwe auto kunnen rijden en ik onderhandel op dit moment met meerdere teams. BMW wil zes auto's inzetten. Augusto Farfus en Andy Priaulx lijken vrij zeker voor een stoeltje en Nick Heidfeld is in gesprek. We zullen zien."
