Regerend Euroseries-kampioen Mortara dichtbij contract met Audi

Edoardo Mortara lijkt een goede kans te maken om komend seizoen zijn debuut te maken in de DTM. Audi heeft namelijk interesse getoond in de diensten van de regerend Formule 3 Euroseries-kampioen. De Italiaan heeft echter nog geen contract getekend.

Vlak voor Kerstmis testte Audi vele jonge coureurs waarvan Mortara er ook één was. De Italiaan lijkt op dit moment de grootste kandidaat te zijn om een contract te bemachtigen bij de Duitse fabrikant. "De test verliep erg goed, maar ik heb nog altijd geen nieuws van Audi", vertelde Mortara tegen Autosport. "Ik ben erg optimistisch voor de toekomst. Op dit moment sta ik echter nog altijd zonder stoeltje voor dit jaar."

Audi zal waarschijnlijk begin februari haar line-up bekend maken.
