DTM stapt over op HD-kwaliteit voor 2011

De DTM zal dit jaar in High Definition(HD)-kwaliteit uitgezonden worden. Dat maakte de organisatie van de toerwagenserie bekend. Alle circuit- en onboard-camera's voldoen in 2011 aan de eisen om beelden in HD-kwaliteit te leveren.

De precieze specificatie is HDTV 1080i50. De Duitse zender ARD gaat in elk geval gebruik maken van de verbeterde beeldkwaliteit. De DTM stelt het HD-signaal ook voor de distributie naar internationale zenders beschikbaar. In 2010 brachten 283 zenders in 213 landen de DTM op televisie.
