Mike Rockenfeller ten koste van Tomczyk in nieuwe auto

Mike Rockenfeller is door Audi gepromoveerd naar een nieuwe auto voor 2011. De Duitser, die vorige jaar nog de 24 uur van Le Mans won, zal een auto van het Abt-team besturen en de plaats innemen van Martin Tomczyk. Hij racet in 2011 met een oudere auto.

"Het vorige DTM-seizoen verliep voor Audi niet volgens plan", vertelde Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich. "We hebben onszelf afgelopen winter op elk gebied proberen te verbeteren en daar horen ook de coureurs bij. Ik zie het als een kans voor Martin Tomczyk dat hij voor het eerst met een oude auto rijdt en bij een ander team dan Abt Sportsline."
