Petronas ook sponsor van DTM-teams Mercedes dit seizoen

Petronas steunt vanaf dit seizoen ook het DTM-team van Mercedes. Het Maleisische olie- en gasbedrijf is al hoofdsponsor van Mercedes in de Formule 1 en heeft de samenwerking uitgebreid naar de DTM. Daar zal Petronas op alle bolides en overalls van de coureurs te zien zijn.

"We zijn blij dat we Petronas kunnen aankondigen als onze nieuwe DTM-partner", vertelde Mercedes' motorsportbaas Norbert Haug. "Het feit dat Petronas zich naast de Formule 1 ook concentreert op de DTM wil iets zeggen over de groeiende populariteit van deze klasse. Net zoals in de Formule 1 zal het research- en ontwikkelingswerk van Petronas bijdrage aan de prestaties van onze auto's."
