Mike Rockenfeller pakt allereerste overwinning in Zandvoort

Mike Rockenfeller is voor het eerst als winnaar afgevlagd in de DTM. De Abt Audi-coureur ging bij de start Jamie Green voorbij voor de tweede plek en dankte zijn eerste plek in Zandvoort aan een betere strategie dan polesitter Bruno Spengler, die uiteindelijk als tweede eindigde.

Martin Tomczyk legde beslag op de laatste podiumplek. Renger van der Zande kwam in zijn thuisrace niet verder dan de dertiende plek. Ralf Schumacher, bij de opening in Hockenheim nog op het podium, finishte net buiten de punten als elfde.
