Sheldon van der Linde verzekerd van zitje bij ROWE Racing

Sheldon van der Linde racet komend seizoen weer in de DTM. De 21-jarige Zuid-Afrikaan is opgepikt door ROWE Racing. Sheldon van der Linde komt in 2021 zijn oudere broer Kelvin van der Linde, die in de toerwagenklasse debuteert bij Abt Sportsline, tegen in de DTM nieuwe stijl.

Voor Sheldon van der Linde wordt dit zijn derde seizoen in de DTM. De voorbije twee jaar reed hij voor BMW Team RBM in een BMW M4 Turbo DTM. Vorig seizoen boekte hij zijn eerste en enige overwinning tot nu toe op Assen. Dit jaar bestuurt hij een BMW M6 GT3 van ROWE Racing.

"Kelvin en ik hebben er allebei over gedroomd om in de DTM te racen. Het feit dat we het vanaf juni tegen elkaar zullen opnemen in de grootste toerwagenklasse ter wereld is simpelweg ongelooflijk", luidde het commentaar van Sheldon van der Linde.
