Schumacher leidt 1-2-3 van HWA in tweede training

Ralf Schumacher heeft tijdens de tweede vrije training van de DTM op Brands Hatch de snelste tijd gereden. De Duitse coureur van HWA Mercedes bleef zijn beide teamgenoten Gary Paffett en Jamie Green slechts enkele duizendsten voor.

Schumacher eindigde met een rondetijd van 41.948 maar 0.009 seconden voor Paffett. Green volgde met de derde tijd op 0.013 seconden achterstand. Mike Rockenfeller was de snelste Audi-coureur met de vierde tijd op 0.015 seconden, gevolgd door Filipe Albuquerque op 0.086 seconden achterstand.

Martin Tomczyk eindigde vlak achter zijn teamgenoot als zesde en kwam nog altijd maar 0.137 seconden tekort op de tijd van Schumacher. Verder eindigde de gehele top tien binnen twee tienden van elkaar, terwijl Renger van der Zande niet verder kwam dan de zestiende tijd. De Nederlander kwam alsnog maar 0.383 seconden tekort op de tijd van Schumacher.
