Audi reserveert achtste A5 voor jonge Adrien Tambay

Audi zet komend seizoen acht auto's op de DTM-grid. De Duitse autofabrikant geeft de 21-jarige Adrien Tambay, zoon van oud Formule 1-coureur Patrick Tambay, een kans in 2012. De Fransman vergezelt Rahel Frey als teamgenoot bij Audi Sport Team Abt.

Audi-motorsportbaas Wolfgang Ulrich: “De afgelopen jaren hebben we meerdere jonge coureurs aangesteld, sommigen uit het opleidingsprogramma van Volkswagen in de Formule 3. Ik heb het gevoel dat Audi nu een goede mix in de line-up heeft, met oog voor de toekomst. Dat is ook van toepassing op Adrien Tambay, die ons overtuigd heeft in de tests en past bij de rest van de Audi-familie.”

      Weet niet hoe jij bij 6 komt, maar Merecedes heeft ook 8 wagens verdeelt over 4 teams. BMW daar in tegen heeft wel 6 wagens.
