Bruno Spengler zet BMW aan kop tijdens warm up

BMW begon anoniem aan het seizoen in Hockenheim in de eerste trainingen, maar liet in de kwalificatie al zien waar het toe in staat is. Dirk Werner pakte gisteren namelijk de derde startpositie voor de race van vandaag. De van Mercedes overgekomen Bruno Spengler reed vanochtend in de warm up de snelste tijd. De Canadese BMW-coureur bleef oud-teamgenoot Jamie Green voor.

De rollen waren mooi verveeld in de warm up-sessie. In de top zes stonden namelijk twee BMW's, twee Mercedes-coureurs en eindigde Audi met twee auto's bij de beste zes. Spengler voerde dit lijstje aan, op 0.155 seconden gevolgd door Jamie Green. Timo Scheider was de snelste rijder van Audi met de derde tijd, gevolgd door Gary Paffett, Martin Tomczyk en Mattias Ekstrom.
