Spengler wint en verkleint gat naar leider Paffett aanzienlijk

Bruno Spengler heeft BMW de zege op de Nürburgring bezorgd. De Canadees versloeg op het hete asfalt in de Duitse Eifel de Audi van Edoardo Mortara en merkgenoot Martin Tomczyk. Jamie Green stuurde de beste Mercedes naar plek vier.

Kampioenschapleider Gary Paffett finishte slechts zesde, maar dat is gezien zijn elfde startpositie nog een heel aardig resultaat. Wel slonk zijn voorsprong aanzienlijk. Het gat naar Bruno Spengler bedraagt nog maar twintig punten, met vier races te gaan.
