Ferrari gooide testplannen voor Oostenrijk om

Het team van Ferrari doet volgende week bij de tweedaagse test op de Red Bull Ring een beroep op talent Antonio Fuoco en testrijder Esteban Gutierrez. Net als eerder dit jaar in Barcelona komt geen van de reguliere racecoureurs in actie. Een opmerkelijke strategie van Ferrari.

Dat kwam ze voor Barcelona nog op kritiek van de Italiaanse pers te staan. Het was ook niet de bedoeling dat Sebastian Vettel en Kimi Raikkonen de tests tijdens het seizoen over zouden slaan. Vettel stond ingepland voor de test in Spanje, Raikkonen zou volgende week mogen rijden.

Turun Sanomat bericht dat Ferrari de testplannen voor Oostenrijk omgegooid heeft zodat geen van de vaste rijders op meer testdagen uitkomt dan de ander. Dat zou de schijn van een voorkeursbehandeling wekken en daar is men in Maranello wat huiverig voor.

Waarom zou je als Ferrari zijnde, de test niet laten uitvoeren door je race coureurs als dat een aanmerkelijk voordeel betreft, omdat "schijn" tefen te gaan? Dat zou heel amateuristisch zijn. Net als Raikkonen niet laten rijden omdat je "weet" dat die... [Lees verder]

    Het lijkt me meer omdat Vettel genoeg performance toont en weinig heeft aan zo'n test en dat ze de beslissing over Raikkonen al genomen hebben. Dat is einde oefening na dit jaar dus heeft het niet enorm veel zin meer om hem te laten rijden. Gun dan de tijd maar aan wat rookies.

      Dat denk ik ook. Kimi gaat eruit, maar dat vertellen ze hem nog niet om te voorkomen dat hij gedemotiveerd raakt en helemaal niet meer presteert.

      Denk ik ook. Kimi zit nu in zijn 2e jaar bij Ferrari wat gezien werd als 2e kans. 3e kans hoort er niet te komen bij een team als Ferrari.

Net als Raikkonen niet laten rijden omdat je "weet" dat die er volgend jaar niet meer bij je rijd. Als je dat zeker zou weten, dan stop je gewoon Vettel in de auto.

    Daarnaast hebben Kimi en Seb evenveel testdagen gehad als ze beide 1 rijden. Alleen de volgorde zou iets kunnen zeggen, maar als je daar al iets achter gaat zoeken.. gewoon een duidelijke regel opstellen en die geruchtenmolen stopt al.

    Een ervaren rot als Kimi in je auto laten testen levert in mijn ogen altijd wat op, en Ferrari zit niet in de positie om steken te laten liggen, dus denk ik dat Ferrari er simpelweg geen meerwaarde in ziet Kimi en Seb een extra testdag te geven. Elke andere reden zou om te janken zijn, in mijn ogen, op dit moment in het seizoen.

    Kimi zit volgend jaar gewoon in die Ferrari. (een betere tweede rijder kunnen ze niet krijgen)
    Kijk naar bv. Irvine, Barrichello en Massa...allemaal degelijke tweede rijders, maar geen hoogvliegers. Hebben alle drie meerdere jaren bij Ferrari gereden.
    Zolang Ferrari een goeie eerste rijder heeft (op dit moment Vettel dus) dan is er geen vuiltje aan de lucht...denk ik.

    Ow en voor de mensen hier die verliefd zijn op Max, vergeet het maar...Ferrari wil Max vast wel hebben (wie niet?) maar zal het dan hetzelfde doen als met Bianchi.
    Ervaring op laten doen in een dochter/zuster team en uiteindelijk door laten stromen. Helaas is het voor Bianchi zover niet gekomen.
