Vergne volgt Gutierrez op als reserve bij Ferrari

Jean-Eric Vergne kan zich opmaken voor promotie binnen het team van Ferrari. De Fransman was vorig jaar al testcoureur bij de Scuderia en bracht veel tijd door in de simulator. Door het vertrek van Esteban Gutierrez naar Haas F1 Team is de positie van reserverijder vrijgekomen.

Vergne, voormalig Scuderia Toro Rosso-coureur en tegenwoordig actief in de Formule E, heeft daar zijn zinnen wel op gezet. "Er gaan wat dingen veranderen binnen het team. De aankondiging daarvan zal binnenkort plaats vinden. Of dat betekent dat ik de nieuwe reservecoureur word? We zullen zien. Misschien."

Begrijp me niet verkeerd, ik ben net zo fan van Max als jullie, maar ik had voor JEV eerder iets in gedachten als Guttielerez vervangen bij Haas omdat gaat blijken, dat ie duidelijk slechter is dan Grosjean en dus geen F1 materiaal.
