Ocon lyrisch over vernieuwde Force India-auto

Esteban Ocon stond ingepland om vandaag voor Force India te testen, maar omdat Mercedes de plannen omgooide en gisteren een beroep deed op Pascal Wehrlein mocht de regerend Europees Formule 3-kampioen op dag 1 al aan de bak. De jonge Fransman maakte als eerste kennis met de verbeterde auto van de Indiase renstal, een voorbode voor de B-versie van de VJM08.

Ocon kwam na afloop superlatieven tekort om de verbeteringen te beschrijven. "De ontwikkeling gaat de goede kant op", deelde hij aan Motorsport.com mede. "De wagen was geweldig, heel snel. Laten we afwachten hoe het straks op Silverstone gaat, maar waarschijnlijk is dit een heel snelle auto. Het team werkt hard en ik denk dat het zich uit zal betalen."

Vice-teambaas Bob Fernley somt op wat er deze week allemaal nieuw is: "De voorvleugel, de neus, de rear wing pillar, allemaal belangrijke aspecten van de auto. Het definitieve pakket bevat ook nog een nieuwe vloer en een andere monocoque om alles te accommoderen. De verplichte crashtests zijn weken geleden al gedaan."

Omdat deze snotneus over 2 jaar in F1 rijdt voor het nieuwe Lotus/Renault team....en deze snotneus over 4/5 jaar met Max aan het strijden is voor een wereldtitel...ik denk dat je deze snotneus nog vele jaren gaat zien op de buis, succes ermee!

    Vraag is of die B-Spec zich snel verhoudt tegenover de andere F1-bolides of tegenover de F3 wagen van Ocon...

    Hoe kan het dat zo'n snotneus die totaal geen ervaring heeft en het voorgaande model amper kent met zulke uitspraken kan komen?

    In zo'n belangrijk geval als nieuwe wagen zou je zeggen dat met een Hulkenberg of Perez in de wagen zet. Kortom, belachelijk verhaal.

      Hij had de vorige test ook gedaan, toen met de A-spec auto, dus hij kan wel degelijk ook een oordeel geven over het verschil. Natuurlijk hebben Perez en Hulk meer ervaring maarja
