Haas F1 heeft Wehrlein geen aanbieding gedaan

Manor Racing-coureur Pascal Wehrlein heeft getracht een gerucht rondom zijn persoon in de kiem te smoren. Het viel Motorsport-Magazin.com op dat Haas F1-teambaas Günther Steiner zo lovend was over de Duitser. Daaruit maakte het Duitse blad op dat Wehrlein in de belangstelling staat van Haas.

Steiner had gezegd: "Pascal heeft me verbaasd met hoe goed hij bezig is." Op de vraag of hij een aanbieding voor 2017 had ontvangen, antwoordde Wehrlein: "Van Haas F1? Nee, hoezo? Ik heb vorig jaar wel eens met Steiner gesproken, maar hij wilde koste wat het kost samenwerken met Ferrari."

Haas F1 Team rijdt momenteel met Romain Grosjean en Esteban Gutierrez. Grosjean moet met zijn ervaring de dragende kracht zijn, terwijl de benoeming van Gutierrez een geste richting partner Ferrari was. De Amerikaanse nieuwkomer verzamelde reeds 22 punten dit seizoen.

    Volgens mij is de benoeming van Gutierrez eerder een geste richting meneer Slim. ;-)

      Gutierrez krijgt volgend jaar de zak bij Haas en Ferrari moet dan "noodgedwongen" ook afscheid nemen.

    ik denk dat Wehrlein de komende jaren beter bij de Mercedes Familie kan blijven zeker nu MAX voor meer jaren vast ligt bij Red Bull, denk ik dat we Pascal uiterlijk in 2018/2019 in de Mercedes zullen zien.

      Misschien zit Wehrlein volgend jaar al bij Mercedes omdat Hamilton dan een sabatical neemt na een teleurstellend seizoen om zich op zijn muziekcarierre te richten.

    een teambaas kan tegenwoordig niet eens meer openlijk zijn bewondering/waardering uitspreken voor een bepaalde rijder want je wordt meteen in verband gebracht met...
    want als we de geruchten mochten geloven vorig jaar en dit jaar reed max tot vorige week donderdag aan het eind van dit seizoen bij 3 teams
