Haas-coureurs niet blij in Spanje

Haas F1 had tijdens de trainingen coureurs die niet al te blij waren met de huidige stand van zaken bij het team.

Een van de coureurs, Romain Grosjean, had het op de radio over een 'onbestuurbare' auto. "Romain wil dat we voortgang maken", vertelt teambaas Gunther Steiner. "Als hij alleen maar zegt wat we willen horen kunnen we niet op slechte punten anticiperen."

Niet alleen Grosjean was boos, ook teamgenoot Esteban Gutierrez liet van zich weten. De Mexicaan beleeft in 2016 een slechter seizoen dan Grosjean.

"Ik doe verdomd goed werk maar niemand kan dat nu zien", vertelt hij in Speedweek. "Ik ben altijd snel geweest in welke raceklasse dan ook, waarom zou dat nu ineens anders zijn? Ik moet rijden, het team moet ervoor zorgen dat ik een auto heb om in te rijden."

Steiner vindt het niet onterecht dat de coureurs boos zijn: "Ik zou ook hartstikke pissig zijn. Hij heeft de snelheid als hij op het circuit bezig is. Frustrerend als dat er niet uitkomt."
