De Formule 3 is altijd een voedingsbodem geweest voor toekomstige Formule 1-coureurs. Op de huidige grid staan de nodige coureurs die in het Europees Formule 3-kampioenschap actief zijn geweest. Williams-coureur Lance Stroll en Red Bull Racing-rijder Max Verstappen bijvoorbeeld. Mobil 1 The Grid zocht het tweetal op om te praten over het belang van de Formule 3.
