Echt heel erg divers was de Grand Prix van Italië strategisch gezien niet; de wedstrijd was voor de meeste coureurs een één-stopper. Alleen Max Verstappen en Romain Grosjean maakten twee stops na schade opgelopen te hebben in de eerste ronden van de race op Monza. Daniel Ricciardo was de enige in de top negen die op de zachte compound begon en op de superzachte compound eindigde. Bandenleverancier Pirelli fabriceerde dit mooie overzicht van de diverse strategieën in Italië.

Waarschijnlijk om dat die band het niet zo lang had uitgehouden vanwege de hoge snelheden en had er eerder gewisseld moeten worden en dan hadden die banden het misschien weer zwaar te verduren...
