Fernando Alonso: "Had bij de start eerste kunnen liggen"

Ondanks een geweldige start zat de Grand Prix van Singapore er al na tien rondjes op voor McLaren-coureur Fernando Alonso. De Spanjaard werd slachtoffer van de crash tussen Kimi Raikkonen en Max Verstappen en kon na tien rondjes uitstappen. Alonso beseft dat er meer had ingezeten en dat hij na de start zelf de leider had kunnen zijn.

"De start was geweldig, de auto was heel goed weg. Ik dacht de goede lijn te hebben, maar helaas werd ik hard geraakt in de eerste bocht. Ik had door de impact van de aanrijding veel onderstuur en op zeker moment begon de elektronica moeilijk te doen. We konden niet verder", aldus Alonso in een reactie op Ziggo Sport.

Derde was zeker mogelijk, eerste lijkt me iets te enthousiast.
Al met al balen dat hij de dupe werd van andermans fouten.
Hij had een mooi resultaat kunnen halen hier.
