Haas F1 maakt schema bekend voor wintertests in Barcelona

Romain Grosjean zal als eerste de nieuwe Haas VF-18 Formule 1-wagen tijdens de wintertest in Barcelona het circuit op rijden. Vervolgens wordt hij een dag later afgelost door Kevin Magnussen en zullen de coureurs om en om de wagen gaan testen.

Haas F1 was het eerste team dat de wagen voor het nieuwe seizoen presenteerde. Op 14 februari kwamen de eerste beelden van de VF18 online en vandaag heeft het een filmdag in Barcelona op de agenda staan. Teambaas Günther Steiner zegt over de tests die volgende week starten: "Het uitgangspunt is altijd hetzelfde: wij willen zoveel mogelijk kilometers maken om zoveel mogelijk over de wagen te leren. In de fabriek hebben wij meer mensen beschikbaar die de data kunnen analyseren. Eerder was dit wellicht nog een zwak punt binnen ons team."
