Kvyat bij bandentest voor het eerst in actie voor Ferrari

Daniil Kvyat maakt deze week voor het eerst zijn opwachting als Ferrari-coureur. De eind vorig jaar door Red Bull aan de kant geschoven Rus is tegenwoordig ontwikkelingscoureur bij de Scuderia. In die hoedanigheid mag hij nu opdraven voor een bandentest op het circuit van Fiorano.

Antonio Giovinazzi neemt vandaag de eerste dag voor zijn rekening, morgen is het de beurt aan Kvyat. De Italiaan en de Rus zullen bij de Pirelli-test allebei voor het eerst in actie komen met de Ferrari SF71H. Giovinazzi heeft vorig jaar wel al getest voor de Scuderia. De nadruk ligt vandaag en morgen op het testen van de intermediates en de regenbanden.

De test maakt onderdeel uit van het ontwikkelingsprogramma van Pirelli met het oog op 2019. De bandenleverancier heeft 25 testdagen gepland over dit jaar om zich voor te bereiden op volgend seizoen. Die testdagen zijn verspreid over de tien teams, die bij de bandentests geen updates of veranderingen aan de auto door mogen voeren.

  Verstoppen idd, hij had toch veel beter bij Williams kunnen rijden dan die andere rus.
  Hij kon slecht met de druk omgaan van RBR schijnt. Bij williams had hij zich dan mooi kunnen herpakken.

Sinds wanneer mogen ze met een huidige auto de banden testen? Daar waren toch speciaal aangepaste auto's voor gemaakt/geleverd?

Dit lijkt me toch iets anders dan een filmdag eaar max 100 km gereden mag worden....

  waarom zou je banden testen met auto's die teweinig downforce leveren. dat hebben ze toen gedaan omdat ze geen auto's hadden die die downforce leverden.
  
  en waarom niet. ze mogen toch geen veranderingen of updates testen, is puur rondjes rijden en banden data verzamelen.

  Voor zover ik weet is het verboden om tijdens het seizoen buitenom de testweken te testen met een auto uit het huidige jaar. Zelfs een auto van een jaar eerder mag geloof ik niet. Als ik het fout heb hoor ik het graag!
  
  Dat ze geen veranderingen of updates testen is logisch, maar door de kilometers worden ze er sowieso wijzer van, ongeacht welke band eronder zit. Ze zullen vast iets met de data kunnen. Het lijkt me stug dat dat ding rondjes rijdt en er geen data vanaf de auto komt over bijv. de motor....

  Alle teams komen aan de beurt, dus ik zie niet zo snel voordelen voor een bepaald team. Daarbij gaat het om regenbanden en intermediates.

  Dat laatste mogen jullie vergeten. Had niet goed gelezen “vandaag en morgen intermediates en regenbanden” er worden op andere data ook op slicks getest.
