Haas over samenwerking met Ferrari: "Het is eerlijk"

Sinds de Grand Prix van Canada weten Kevin Magnussen en Romain Grosjean iedere race door te dringen tot Q3 en dat leidt tot vragen over de technische samenwerking tussen Haas en Ferrari. Teambaas Guenther Steiner meent dat deze samenwerking eerlijk is.

"Ik denk dat het eerlijk is", aldus Steiner tegenover Sky Sports. "Het staat in de reglementen dat men dit mag doen en deze reglementen zijn opgesteld door de mensen die nu klagen. Ik denk ook dat het eerlijk is, omdat we onze eigen ontwikkeling en aerodynamica verzorgen, we nemen enkel onderdelen af en in de regels staat helder gedefineerd wat is toegestaan. Ik ben er erg tevreden over."

Haas staat momenteel vijfde in het constructeurskampioenschap met 51 punten. De Amerikaanse renstal wil de strijd aangaan met Renault, dat momenteel negentien punten meer bezit. Magnussen is vooralsnog de coureur die de kar trekt voor Haas. De Deen pakte al 39 punten.
