Haas herinnert rijders aan touché op Silverstone: "Mag niet opnieuw gebeuren"

Het team van Haas heeft Romain Grosjean en Kevin Magnussen op het hart gedrukt dat een aanvaring zoals op Silverstone niet meer mag gebeuren. Tijdens de Britse Grand Prix kwam het duo met elkaar in aanraking met de eerste bocht, maar dat moet op Hockenheim koste wat kost voorkomen worden.

"Wat er naderhand gebeurde? Dat leg ik liever niet uit, niet zo veel", vertelt Haas-teambaas Günther Steiner over het incident op Hockenheim. “We kwamen tot de conclusie dat zoiets nooit meer mag gebeuren. We mogen in de eerste bocht geen punten weggooien wanneer we niet onder druk staan of ingehaald worden. Dat was de uitkomst."

"We mogen gewoon geen punten meer verliezen", vervolgt Steiner. "Het is erg lastig om regels te maken bij de start. De enige regel is: doe niets doms. Doe niets wat het team belemmert. We moeten als team samenwerken en zoveel mogelijk punten behalen. We hebben er al te veel verloren."
