Haas verlaat Brazilië met dubbele puntenfinish

Romain Grosjean heeft het team van Haas geprezen voor haar resultaat tijdens de Grand Prix van Brazilië. De Fransman eindigde de race op de achtste positie en moest in het middenveld dus alleen Charles Leclerc van Sauber voor zich dulden. Achter hem eindigde zijn teamgenoot Kevin Magnussen op de negende plek.

"Ik ben erg blij voor het team", zegt Grosjean. Ik ben onder de indruk van de tijden die we konden neerzetten, ondanks de schade die we hadden opgelopen in de eerste ronde. Zonder dat waren we denk ik makkelijk 'best of the rest' geworden. We staan nog steeds ver achter Renault, maar het zou mooi zijn wanneer we in Abu Dhabi kunnen afsluiten met opnieuw een dubbele puntenfinish."

Magnussen voegt daar aan toe: "Ik had een goede start, maar had een beetje geluk in de eerste ronde, ook al verloor ik wat posities. Toen we eenmaal op de posities acht en negen lagen, veranderde er niet veel meer. Het is mooi voor het team dat beide coureurs weer eens in de punten zijn geëindigd, helemaal na mijn mindere kwalificatie."
