McLaren heeft volgens Norris een grote verandering ondergaan

Lando Norris rijdt aankomend seizoen alle Grands Prix voor McLaren en het is hem opgevallen dat zijn team een flinke verandering heeft ondergaan op het gebied van de ontwikkeling van de auto. Het Britse team heeft niet bepaald zijn beste jaren achter de rug en Norris weet niet of McLaren die slechte reeks plotseling kan gaan beëindigen.

"Het is moeilijk om te zeggen of McLaren de situatie gemakkelijk kan omdraaien. Niemand weet het. De mensen hier hebben echter fatsoenlijke ideeën over de dingen waar ze aan werken en die ze willen verbeteren", zegt Norris tegenover Autosport.

"Al deze kleine dingen zorgen voor meer data en dat is beter. Natuurlijk zijn ze ervan overtuigd dat ze de juiste beslissingen maken en het is me opgevallen dat er nogal een grote verandering heeft plaatsgevonden bij McLaren in hoe het team dingen benadert."

"Bijvoorbeeld hoe ze het werk en de ontwikkeling van aankomend jaar benaderen. Mijn eigen ideale streven is om het in iedere kwalificatie en iedere race te winnen van Carlos Sainz. Ik zou hem graag willen verslaan en dat is dan ook mijn doelstelling", aldus Norris.
