Video: Eerste bewegende beelden van Red Bull RB16 op Silverstone

Red Bull Racing is druk bezig met het draaien van een filmdag met de nieuwe RB16. Het Oostenrijkse team stuurde Max Verstappen zojuist de baan op voor de eerste meters in de nieuwe bolide en die beelden deelden ze via Instagram Stories.

Eerder vandaag presenteerde Red Bull Racing het nieuwe strijdwapen van Verstappen en teamgenoot Alexander Albon. Aerodynamisch gezien is de RB16 in grote lijnen hetzelfde gebleven als de RB15 uit 2019, maar op een aantal vlakken zijn er toch veranderingen doorgevoerd, in de hoop dat het Oostenrijkse team daarmee echt een gooi kan doen naar de wereldtitels. In dit artikel worden de eerste zichtbare veranderingen belicht.

Verstappen is inmiddels dus op de baan verschenen voor de filmdag en dat is door het team vastgelegd op beeld. Op Instagram Stories (en in onderstaande video) is te zien hoe Verstappen met een drift uit de pitbox wegrijdt. Vandaag zal hij tijdens de filmdag, die tevens dienst doet als shakedown, 100 kilometer mogen afleggen achter het stuur van de RB16.

      Vond ik altijd al van de hybride Honda's, al bij mcLaren. Alsof ze elk moment in elkaar konden lopen. Toen was dat natuurlijk ook zo, maar ze klinken nog steeds het moiiste van alle hybride V6 motoren

    Weer een hele hoge 'rake' wordt dus weer een wagen die het goed doet op bepaalde banen.
    De banen die pas komen als MERC al een gaat heeft geslagen.
    Conclusie een verloren seizoen nu al.

      Roy weet aan het wegrijden nu zelfs te zien hoeveel kracht een motor heeft.
