Norris en Sainz testen met F3-wagens op Silverstone

Mercedes en Renault hebben als eerste teams twee testdagen gereden met een oude F1-wagen om de coureurs weer te laten wennen en het team bekend te maken met de procedures rondom de corona maatregelen zodra over twee weken de Grands Prix van start gaan.

McLaren wilde ook met een oude F1-wagen testen maar motorleverancier Renault is niet verplicht motoren te leveren voor oudere F1-wagens van McLaren, terwijl Honda geen motoren meer zou hebben uit het tijdperk met het Britse team.

Noodgedwongen testen Lando Norris en Carlos Sainz dan ook in Formule 3-wagens. Het team van Carlin is op een regenachtig Silverstone aanwezig om te testen met de twee McLaren-coureurs.
