McLaren plaatst raceteam in isolatie voor F1-seizoen

Over twee weken is het Formule 1-seizoen van 2020 van start gegaan en is de eerste race van dit seizoen eindelijk gereden. Oorspronkelijk had het seizoen in Australië in maart moeten beginnen, maar door het coronavirus moest de start van het seizoen lang wachten. Nu we nog maar twee weken hebben voordat alles opnieuw begint, nemen de teams al maatregelen om de kans op infectie zo klein mogelijk te houden. Ook bij McLaren nemen ze veel maatregelen.

Andreas Seidl, teambaas van McLaren, legt in een video van het team uit welke maatregelen er zijn genomen. Het Britse team blijkt het raceteam in een soort isolatie te hebben geplaatst. Seidl: "Het raceteam hebben we ze nu gescheiden van het fabrieksteam. Zo zijn we er zeker van dat we zo snel mogelijk in onze eigen 'bubbel' zitten."

Seidl laat u ook weten dat ze zich voorbereiden om de nieuwe maatregelen toe te passen. "We doen ook veel werk om klaar te zijn voor Oostenrijk. Er zullen veel nieuwe procedures zijn, zoals afstand houden en overal mondkapjes dragen. Er zijn veel dingen waar we rekening mee moeten houden."

Een ander belangrijk punt om rekening mee te houden is volgens de teambaas van McLaren het hebben van voldoende onderdelen voor de tien races die over acht weken worden verreden. "Het is belangrijk dat we zo snel mogelijk weer 100% van de productie kunnen halen, omdat je veel onderdelen klaar moet hebben als er ongelukken gebeuren tijdens één van de tien races. We moeten er ook voor zorgen dat we geen technische problemen," concludeerde Seidl.

  Als Rob Veenstra alles alleen moet doen. (Ik zie bij elk artikel zijn naam staan) dan kan je ook niet verwachten dat alles soepel verloopt. Ik zag dat Bjorn Smit is verhuist naar motorsp o r t...... c om. Volgens mij gaat het achter de schermen op deze website niet meer zo best..

  Deze site glijd zeker weten steeds verder af. Niet alleen journalistiek, als je daar al van kan spreken maar vooral het modereren laat steeds meer te wensen over.

  @vputten. Behalve een filter en in het verleden 2 boze meldingen na is op deze website nooit een moderator geweest. Je kan hier (behalve de filterwoorden) zeggen wat je wilt. En dat is altijd al zo geweest.
