Lando Norris kan Max Verstappen wel eens gaan aanvallen in eerste ronde

Lando Norris zegt dat hij niets te verliezen heeft en Max Verstappen wel eens kan aanvallen in de eerste ronde van de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk.

Norris doet bijzondere uitspraken voorafgaande aan de Grand Prix: "Waarschijnlijk wordt het weer een vijfde plek. Wij gaan ons best doen om op te schuiven, maar vorig weekend zaten we er qua racepace nou niet bepaald dichtbij. Nu hebben we echter wel een stap gezet."

"Ik wil niet te negatief klinken. Ik wil zo optimistisch mogelijk zijn, maar ik ben ook realistisch en weet dat het een hele zware race wordt. We bevinden ons in de best mogelijke positie om alles te maximaliseren, maar als ik een kans heb om de eerste plaats te veroveren, een kans krijg om met Max te racen, dan zal ik die pakken."

Norris vervolgt: "Ik ben en blijf een racer, ik blijf aanvallen en wil nog steeds zo goed mogelijk presteren. Tegelijkertijd weet ik denk ik ook wat het beste is voor het team en met wie we helaas echt zullen racen op zondag."

"Dit jaar hebben we denk ik geen auto die goed genoeg is om ons met Red Bull en Mercedes te kunnen vergelijken. Het is duidelijk dat wij het op sommige vlakken lastig hebben en wat worstelen. Onze auto is niet zo snel als die van hen en op sommige vlakken kan je de McLaren niet eens met hun bolides vergelijken. Ik denk dat ik tijdens de kwalificatie het resultaat heb gemaximaliseerd, meer kon ik niet doen."

Dit zei hij tijdens de persconferentie na de kwalificatie. Ik denk dat het wel los zal lopen en hij vooral naar Perez moet kijken.
