Max Verstappen maakte op Zandvoort het gehele Orange Army inclusief Koning Willem-Alexander blij. Maar niet alleen de Nederlanders stonden te juichen. Ook Red Bull-adviseur klapte uit elkaar van vreugde.

Voor de camera's van ServusTV keek de ervaren Oostenrijker terug op de dag: "We reageerden altijd op Hamilton, wat Mercedes ook deed. Max reageerde correct en optimaal in elke situatie zonder de banden te veel te belasten. Elke keer als Hamilton dichterbij kwam ging Max sneller, hij was geweldig."

Marko keek ook nog even naar de prestaties van de andere Red Bull-jongens: " Fantastisch. Pierre verdedigde zijn vierde plaats tegen de Ferrari's. In absolute snelheid was hij de snelste op de baan buiten de top drie. Dat is een goed signaal voor Red Bull." Ook Sergio Perez pakte puntjes, en daar was Marko redelijk blij mee: "Sergio finishte ook in de punten, godzijdank."
