Marko doet zonnedans: "Dat geeft een sprankeltje hoop"

Red Bull Racing kende een prima kwalificatie. Verstappen zette de tweede tijd neer en Sergio Perez noteerde de vierde tijd. Bij het Oostenrijkse team maken ze zich echter niet al te veel zorgen. Maar ze hopen wel op een goed weertje in het Braziliaanse landschap.

Teamadviseur Helmut Marko besprak de kwalificatie met de Duitse tak van Sky Sports: "De eerste startrij is eigenlijk best wel goed. Alleen het verschil is iets waar we niet zo blij mee zijn. Maar niets is verloren. Als we de finishlijn op deze plek passeren starten we de race vanaf de eerste plaats. We hadden niet meer kunnen verwachten."

Marko houdt de weerradars goed in het oog. Een zonnetje kan namelijk in het voordeel spelen voor Red Bull. De Oostenrijker spreekt zich uit: "Normaliter is onze race pace veel beter dan onze snelheid in de kwalificatie. Dat zorgt voor een sprankeltje hoop dat we voor Hamilton kunnen blijven met beide auto's."
