Häkkinen maakt zich zorgen over Red Bull: "Dat ziet er niet goed uit"

Het team van Red Bull Racing vormt dit seizoen de kop van het veld samen met concurrent Ferrari. De Oostenrijkse renstal staat echter mijlenver achter in de WK-stand. Red Bull-superster Max Verstappen viel immers al in twee van de drie races uit met vreemde problemen aan zijn bolide.

De twee uitvalbeurten van de Nederlander zorgen voor de nodige hoofdbrekens bij de Oostenrijkse ploeg. Verstappen staat na drie races immers al zeer ver achter op Ferrari-concurrent Charles Leclerc en titelprolongatie wordt met de race moeilijker. Het is dan ook nog maar de vraag hoe Red Bull de problemen met de wagen gaat oplossen en hoe men het bestaande gat gaat dichten.

Niet goed

Ook het tegenvallende team van Mercedes staat inmiddels, dankzij de uitvalbeurten van Verstappen, boven Red Bull in de tussenstand. Tweevoudig wereldkampioen Mika Häkkinen maakt zich ondertussen aardig wat zorgen. In zijn column voor Unibet spreekt de Fin zich uit: "Ik had echt verwacht dat Red Bull de auto al zou hebben doorontwikkeld tijdens de eerste paar races van het seizoen. Dat is echter nog niet het geval geweest en dat vind ik persoonlijk best wel verassend. De technische problemen zien er niet goed uit, helemaal niet zelfs. Ze geven op deze manier gratis hun punten weg."

Ferrari

Häkkinen ziet dat de problemen voor Red Bull eigenlijk alleen maar groter kunnen worden. Waar Red Bull problemen kent, zijn die er juist niet bij concurrent Ferrari. De Fins tweevoudig wereldkampioen is in zijn column nogal duidelijk over de Italiaanse renstal: "Ze hebben gewoon de snelste auto gemaakt. Ze hebben daarnaast met Charles Leclerc en Carlos Sainz, twee goede en jonge coureurs. Ferrari is momenteel heel erg sterk."

  De huidige realiteit is dat Ferrari het anno 2022 wel op orde heeft met de snelheid én betrouwbaarheid. Red Bull voorlopig alleen met de snelheid.

Ach ... 2x iets met de brandstofleiding... Hoe lang kan het duren voordat ze dit hebben opgelost.
En die andere x won RBR gewoon.
Ik verwacht heel snel een zeer competitief RBR.
