Seidl tevreden met aankomende porpoising-regels: "Geen twijfels"

Over een week gaat het Formule 1-seizoen weer verder in België. Op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps krijgen de teams en de coureurs te maken met enkele nieuwe maatregelen. De FIA kondigde eerder al aan dat er vanaf de Belgische Grand Prix regels gaan gelden om porpoising-problemen te voorkomen.

De FIA kondigde de maatregelen aan in Canada en dat kwam de autosportfederatie op veel kritiek te staan. Niet alle teams zijn immers te spreken over de maatregelen om porpoising tegen te gaan. Het team van Mercedes was een grote voorstander van deze maatregelen, ze zijn echter niet het enige team dat zeer tevreden is met de stappen van de FIA.

Geen twijfels

Ook het team van McLaren staat immers volledig achter de maatregelen. Teambaas Andreas Seidl is zeer in zijn nopjes met de acties van de FIA. Seidl wordt geciteerd door Motorsportweek: "Als je het over de technische richtlijnen hebt, die gaan gelden in Spa, dan hebben we helemaal geen twijfels. We zijn er wel blij mee. We zijn ook heel erg blij dat de FIA de leiding heeft genomen in deze zaak."

Doorpakken

Seidl vindt het dan een goede zaak dat de FIA heeft doorgepakt bij deze problematiek. Veel teams waren immers fel tegen de technische maatregelen omtrent de porpoising-maatregelen en de teambaas van McLaren is dan ook trots op de autosportfederatie: "Ik denk dat het belangrijk is dat ze hebben doorgepakt enkele weken geleden. Ze hebben goed doorgepakt met het oog op de veiligheid van de sport."

  Ik zie het verkeerde gebruik van hoofdletters en kleine letters vooral op dit forum maar ik meen het ook al elders gezien te hebben. Wat betekent het eigenlijk? Waarom doet men dit? Heb ik onder een steen gelegen? Zoveel vragen!

  @Krombacher: is een internet meme, volgens mij. Iemand is hiermee een keertje begonnen en dan krijgt het een eigen viraal verspreidingsleven op het web. Althans, zo heb ik het ooit begrepen. Verder weet ik er te weinig van, maar ja, ik ben dan eigenlijk ook te oud voor dit soort 'noviteiten' ;-)
