Uitgevallen Ocon keerde via metro terug bij team

Het team van Alpine kende een zeer teleurstellend weekend in Singapore. Fernando Alonso en Esteban Ocon waren allebei aardig onderweg maar materiaalpech gooide op zeer pijnlijke wijze roet in het eten. Alonso viel als eerste uit met motorproblemen en even later stond ook Ocon aan de kant.

Na hun uitvalbeurten dropen de coureurs teleurgesteld af naar hun team. De terugkomst van Ocon ging afgelopen weekend redelijk viraal op het internet. Aangezien men in Singapore op een stratencircuit racet, heeft men rondom het circuit te maken met normale stadse bezigheden. Een fan legde namelijk vast hoe Ocon via een metrohalte terug ging naar zijn team. Het zorgde voor de nodige hilariteit op het internet.

      Sta je toch raar te kijken als je opeens een F1 coureur door het metro station ziet lopen.

    Het schijnt dat Esteban een lift kon krijgen van een Marshall op een scooter; echter toen Ocon zag dat deze was uitgerust met een Renault motor, draaide hij zich bruusk om en nam dus de Metro ;-)

      ja, lijkt er op dat hij niet daadwerkelijk in de metro is gestapt, enkel onderdoor ff naar de andere kant van het station is gegaan. Maar wel een mooi beeld zo.

      @Jimmy: Eens v.w.b. een Renault bestuurder; kan me alleen niet voorstellen dat een Alpine bestuurder (bestaan die überhaupt?) nog knaken over heeft na de aanschaf van zo'n bolide.

    Er loopt ook een marshal voor zo te zien.
