Uitvalbeurten in 2023: Sargeant en Ocon ongewilde koplopers

Het afgelopen Formule 1-seizoen zal propvol met opvallende en spectaculaire momenten. Max Verstappen schreef slechts drie races niet op zijn naam en hij finishte elke race. Niet elke coureur had dat privilege, Logan Sargeant en Esteban Ocon gaan aan kop in dit pijnlijke klassement.

Sargeant en Ocon zijn namelijk de coureurs die het vaakst zijn uitgevallen in 2023. Beide coureurs vielen zeven keer uit en geen enkele andere coureur kwam daarbij in de buurt. Voor Sargeant was het pijnlijk, want hij reed dit jaar voor het eerst in de koningsklasse van de autosport. Kevin Magnussen zal ook niet helemaal tevreden zijn, want de Deense Haas-coureur wist vijf keer niet over de finish te komen.

Slechts drie coureurs die dit jaar in actie kwamen wisten al hun races uit te rijden. Naast Max Verstappen wisten ook AlphaTauri-invallers Daniel Ricciardo en Liam Lawson een uitvalbeurt te voorkomen. Ricciardo en Lawson reden zeker niet alle races en dat maakt hun prestatie iets minder knap dan die van Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton en Lando Norris deden het dit seizoen ook best aardig, want beide Britten vielen slechts één keer uit. Hamilton is daarnaast wel één keer gediskwalificeerd. Onder meer Sergio Perez en Fernando Alonso vielen tweemaal uit, ook dat is geen slechte score.
