Seidl hamert op concentratie in de strijd met Alpine

Max Verstappen besliste afgelopen weekend in Japan de strijd om het wereldkampioenschap. De Nederlander claimde de wereldtitel met nog vier races te gaan. In die resterende vier races zullen de coureurs echter niet rustig aan doen. McLaren en Alpine vechten bijvoorbeeld nog een interessant duel uit.

De teams van McLaren en Alpine vechten dit seizoen om de titel best op the rest. De teams van Red Bull Racing, Ferrari en Mercedes staan immers heel erg ver voor in het constructeurskampioenschap. Alpine staat momenteel vierde met in totaal 143 punten, McLaren volgt met dertien puntjes achterstand. De strijd tussen de twee teams gaat dus nog heel erg spannend worden.

Concentratie

McLaren-teambaas Andreas Seidl weet wat zijn team moet gaan doen om de vierde plaats in het constructeurskampioenschap binnen te slepen. Bij Motorsport.com spreekt Seidl zich er nogal duidelijk over uit: "Nu is het echt enorm belangrijk om geconcentreerd te blijven. We moeten ervoor gaan zorgen dat we de weekenden perfect uitvoeren en dat we elke sessie het maximale uit de auto halen."

Kans

Concentratie is het sleutelwoord voor Seidl. De teambaas van McLaren ziet dat men bij Alpine zeker niet stil zit en dat de strijd nog wel eventjes door zal gaan. Hij blijft dan ook hameren op een goede concentratie: "Alleen dan hebben we kans om in gevecht te blijven met Alpine. Tot op heden hebben ze het dit seizoen echt uitstekend gedaan. Het wordt een echte uitdaging om tot aan Abu Dhabi met hen te blijven strijden. Dat is wel waarvoor we hier zijn."

Ik zou met als Mclaren vooral op volgend jaar concetreren. 2022 is voor hun een verloren jaar. Zeker als je kijkt naar goed ze vorig jaar waren.

Een 4de plaats is leuk, maar meer manschappen op volgend jaar zetten lijkt me een beter plan.

Ik zou met als Mclaren vooral op volgend jaar concetreren. 2022 is voor hun een verloren jaar. Zeker als je kijkt naar goed ze vorig jaar waren.

Een 4de plaats is leuk, maar meer manschappen op volgend jaar zetten lijkt me een beter plan.
